Let me tell you about my experience with ISS thus far, as I'm still trying to work with them in getting a job at the Amazon warehouse.

All I did up to this point was fill out an application for Amazon online at indeed.com, go to a walk-in interview with ISS, and attend my orientation for the job at the Amazon warehouse location. It all seemed pretty easy and too good to be true considering I was "hired" on the spot at my interview, which yielded only a single question.

When I arrived to the location where my interview was held, I noticed a ton of people there already. This is no surprise to me as it is a walk-in interview after all. I was prompted to provide two forms of ID. What? After filling out the application online, I was told only to bring proof I can legally work in the US, nowhere else was I told to bring TWO forms of ID. I had to drive back home to grab my SS card, because I absolutely do NOT carry it wherever I go.

Now for my interview, the lady only asked me one question, "What are you looking for in a job." Then proceeded to bring up a series of questions on her computer, turned her monitor towards me, and asked that I read them and answer yes or no while she inputs my answers. All the question pertained to whether or not I've been charged or convicted of a crime or felony and they should have been included in the application process as it looked a lot like the application I filled out at home online.

I took the drug test and immediately given a "start date" for the job, before the drug test results were in (needed to wait two days, if I heard nothing, that means I passed), mind you. I was given info on when to activate the debit card with which I will be paid through and sent on my way.

About a week later, I received a call from a restricted number and the person states my start date has been delayed by a week. Well, in my interview the lady told me to watch out for a specific number as it will be ISS calling me and I need to answer it. Since the number was restricted, I contacted ISS via the smart phone app to verify, as I couldn't find their phone number anywhere in the stuff the lady gave me. The person I spoke to via live chat said this was correct, my start date was delayed by a week.

Now I attend my orientation at the Amazon warehouse and upon leaving, I notice I have a voicemail. Surprise, it's ISS again. Only this time they're calling me to tell me the position I was "hired" for has been canceled entirely. Now I have to wait for a new position to open up.

A few days later, I contacted ISS via live chat on their website to see if any positions opened up. They didn't have any so I had to wait a while longer. The very next day I got a text from ISS saying they have new positions available. I contacted them and got a new position and a new start date. About another week goes by, ISS calls me and says the position I was hired for was canceled, again. The next day I contact ISS to find another position and I receive another new start date. Two days later ISS calls me and says the position I was hired for was canceled, AGAIN!!

I'm sitting here after my third start date was canceled and waiting for new positions. At this rate, I'm never going to actually start at Amazon. I highly recommend anyone that goes through ISS to apply to other locations yourself. ISS seems dysfunctional at best. They're never on the same page with Amazon, it's a complete mess. If you want to be promised a job over and over, only for it to be canceled over and over, go through ISS. If you want your time wasted, go through ISS. Otherwise, keep searching for job opportunities yourself, it'll be a million times more productive than having ISS do it (or not do it) for you.

They called me today to tell me I was not eligible to start. What does that mean not eligible?

My background check? They need to tell you.

The guy on the phone when I called just kept saying, "we can not give out that information." Well, who can? If a company fires you before you start, don't you think they would have the reason?

Unfortunately that's Amazon not ISS ...I have been waiting to start with Amazon for over two months because everything about their hiring process is electronic its a nightmare. I have already had two jobs since applying to Amazon and my start date is still pending lmao

This is almost exactly what is happening to me. Interview process was the same, I was given a shift and start date of November 1st.

A few days later I received a text and an email saying my original position was cancelled due to Amazon business needs and I needed to reschedule. So I did, got a new start of November 6th. Again a few days later a text and email stating it was cancelled and needed to reschedule. Rescheduled to the 10th.

Then I gotta text saying I have an opportunity for an earlier start date, on the 8th.

So that's where I am currently. Did you ever get to start working at the warehouse?

That did me like this the same way in Indianapolis, they do not really help you they will black ball you

SAME exact scenario for us, plus the whole run around via phone, several phone calls mysteriously get disconnected, and automated messaging....ugh.... Integrity Solutions, what a complete joke, those two words together doesn't even come close to what they are really like.

There is no real office to talk to a real person. Every phone number I got gave me the same answer or they were ambiguous. Talk to HR, talk to compliance, nope don't go to recruiting, they are just intake.

.... we give up!

UPDATE:

I took it upon myself to find a job at Amazon. ISS has done nothing but waste my time for over a month.

I applied to Amazon directly and I became an Amazonian (Amazon employee) within the next week.

Amazon didn't *** me around and give me several different start dates. I was given a legit opportunity.

What's sad is I've talked to several employees that were hired through ISS and none of them are satisfied. You can identify if someone is with ISS or Amazon by the color of their badge. All ISS employees are disappointed by the extremely unforgiving point system they have for attendance, they're paid less hourly, their health benefits are awful...

I'm so glad I got out when I did. Being hired by Amazon directly is easily the best way to go.

And it will be no different when you are hired by Amazon. Expect to get written up often for things out of your control, and then to be fired. Yippee

I have just been cancelled 2 weeks before my start date. Now I know what kind of company is ISS.
